The G652.D characterizes a reduced Water Peak (ZWP-Zero Water Peak), which allows them to be used in the range of wave areas between 1310 nm and 1550 nm supporting the Coarse WavelEngth Division Multiplexed (CWDM) transmission. G.652.D is a standard single mode fiber (SSMF) designed for 10 GB and 40 GB systems (due to the reduction of the dispersion of polarization mode-PMD). It is currently the most popular type of optical fibers.
