A number of industrial power supply backed up CBI sources (sometimes also known as DC-UPS) from the traditional Italian manufacturer Adel System brings the best technologies to the category of affordable sources. All sources in this range are backed up with connectable batteries and the powered device will remain in operation even in the event of a power input.

CBI sources have a smart monitoring system and battery management , so all devices can use any type of battery with a factory-optimized charging curve suitable for all the most common battery technologies: open lead, closed lead, gel/AGM, Ni-CD, Li-ion. The integrated battery life test ensures power reliability thanks to continuous testing of internal impedance. It prevents possible damage and provides permanent, reliable power supply-according to the parameters, the system is able to recognize sulfate batteries or batteries with short-circuit cells.

Other Battery checks and protection include:

Testing Impedance of Traffic Wires-During maintenance charging, the status of the supply wires to detect poor contact
Short-circulated or sustained batteries-During maintenance charging every two hours is a test of internal impedance for detection of defective batteries
Incorrect Polarity of Battery-Battery Conservation with opposite polarity
