UBNT Active Ethernet

Ubnt Active Ethernet (UF-AE) is a gigabit optical-metallic converter that allows Internet providers to bring an optical cable to the customer and connect its home network without the need for SFP slot equipment. Thanks to compact dimensions, it is no problem to place it virtually anywhere.
The device uses optical fibers for long distance transmission. The use of optical data to transfer data significantly reduces the risk of electrostatic discharges and electromagnetic interference, and there is no limit of 100m cable length as with metallic lines. Only the end element is connected through the RJ45 connector. The Ethernet port is supported by input power supply 24 in passive and POE 802.3AF.

All Ufiber SFP and SFP+ modules are compatible with the device, the optical route speed is 1Gbps. On the Ethernet, the device is connected to a counterparty speed of 10/100/1000Mbps. Thanks to the holder included in the package, you can easily place UF-ae on the wall.
